Yakutian laika puppies & Siberian snow in Yakutsk, Siberia/Russia

Lena Sidorov’s winter pictures of her foster-children, take a couple of day ago. Cute, cute, cute Yakutian laika puppies. They are now big. They were born in September 16, 2010, in the Chochur Muran ethnographic complex in the Siberian city of Yakutsk. Now they are playing in and running on snow.

Yes, it is already winter on this part of Siberia called Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Today it is -16 degrees Celsius at daytime, it will be minus 18 at night. Not warm and not extremely cold. Nevertheless, puppies feel themselves good in harsh Siberian conditions. They accustomed to it

They look like Siberian husky puppies in these pictures, but they are not as such. I mean they are, but they are representatives of Yakutian laikas. Confused? Well, it will be all the same as to call Yakutia as Siberia, but it is a part of it. It is located in Siberia, but it’s still Yakutia, the biggest Siberian region.
